Rescue Me ID: 18-01-04-00133Flash Gordon (male)
Gordon is a large lap dog who has the goofy side of the boxer but the loyal side of the Hound. He has learned how to sit and walk on a leash in no time. He needs a family who want a dog that is by their side as he thinks he belongs in the front seat of the truck while going to the beach or next to your favorite recline while watching TV.

OUT OF STATE ADOPTIONS: We do allow out-of-state adoptions for dogs, however, the adopter MUST come to Houston to get the dog and take the dog home with them. We do not allow our dogs to be shipped. Also, our puppies can only be adopted to the immediate Houston vicinity as it takes 4 months to get them completely vetted at our vet here in Houston. We will not allow our dogs/puppies to be adopted out of the area without being spayed/neutered. We spay/neuter puppies at 4 months old. Hi my name is Brogan - I am a cute little hound dachshund mix and I know how to have lots of fun. I love people, other dogs and toys. I am a really smart little guy - and my foster mom tells me that I do a really good job of letting her know what i need - she calls it 'verbal' - not sure what she is talking about. I can sleep quietly through the night and let you know when I need to go out in the morning. I am doing well on my potty training and should be fully trained really soon. I learned how to use the dog door and I enjoy going outside and scouting around. I get really excited when it is time to eat too - I like to guard the food (as shown in the picture) - you know I am a growing boy! I was born somewhere around 11/15/2017 and I am right around 10 lbs now. I will be at the adoption center this weekend and would love to meet you. Sincerely, Brogan PUPPIES: Young puppies that have not had their second round of puppy shots will not be at the Adoption Center for our weekend adoption events. If you are interested in adopting a puppy, please fill out an application on our website http://www.k-9angelsrescue.org/k9_angels_rescue_adoption_process.html. If your application is approved, a meeting can be arranged. Also, we only adopt young puppies locally due to the 4 month time frame it takes to get them fully vetted and altered. SPAY/NEUTER: As we believe proper healthcare of one's pet is a requirement of good ownership K-9 Angels Rescue only adopts out dogs that have been fully vetted. If the dog being adopted is not already altered at the time of their adoption, the dog will be altered within 2 weeks of adoption at our vet at our cost, with the exception of puppies which will be altered as soon as the puppy is ready. NOTE: All dogs are officially the property of K-9 Angels Rescue until they are altered by our veterinarian. Please LIKE and share our Facebook page: www.facebook.com/k9angelsrescue. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 18-01-02-00127Doc (male)
Doc is a 6.5 year old Redbone Coonhound/Lab mix. He's a great companion. He will always ask you to go outside, never chews furniture, does well with other dogs, does well on a leash, and listens to commands. Especially if you have a treat for him. He just doesn't do well with smaller children because he's a little nervous/anxious and sometimes protective of his own bubble or chew toys. I've had Doc for a year and a half now and before having a toddler around I never had issues. He has his nervous habits though too. He loves to lick. Everything. He gets nervous if you walk up to him or touch him while hes laying down. It usually results in a slow growl/grumble. I can snap him out of it by calling him to me so he stands up, but smaller children don't know any better. He's never bitten anyone (and I've pushed him pretty far personally by being in his personal space), but I can't take that risk with a child. He is best suited to someone with no children around. When it was just me and him, we had no problems. He's a fairly calm dog and typically only gets really excited when you come home or when visitors are over. He has Addison's disease, however it's very easily managed and I've barely noticed any symptoms. His medication keeps it under control well and it's fairly cheap. He does need a yearly checkup with a veterinarian just to make sure his medication is the right dosage and does not need adjustment. Other than that, he is a healthy pup...albeit a little overweight. I'm not wanting any re-homing fee or payment at all. I just want to find him a good home. If anyone can take him I've got 2 beds, collar, harness, leashes, toys, feeding bowls (with elevated stand), Furminator brush, dog shampoo and cologne, a nice flannel dog coat, enough flee treatments for 6 months, along with anything else he has. Also at least a few months worth of his medication and any remaining food/treats we have. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 17-12-08-00308Herschel (male)
Found 'Herschel' about 9 weeks ago wondering a busy FM road trying to eat road kill. He's a wonderful companion but we have two dogs already and cannot fully provide the attention he deserves. He's super sweet and loves to be loved, walked, and then take a nap. Would make a great friend for someone. He's heartworm positive but has been taking meds for for the past 8 weeks (has 10 months remaining). All meds will be provided to ensure he is cured and healthy. Please call me at 281-468-7516 if you need a faithful and loving companion...he's your guy!
