Rescue Me ID: 18-04-03-00056Sir (male)

Redbone Coonhound Mix    Age: Senior

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Anyone interested in giving our boy a home? He is roughly 10, though acts like he's 5. He runs 3.2 miles everyday and is a great running buddy. He does have lymes, but it's been tested and is dormant. He is up to date on all shots. Knows basic commands such as sit, shake, crate up. Has great energy but is a good sleeper. House trained. Good with kids--but a bull in a china shop. Has possession issues over things he steals, like tin cans, butter stick wrappers, trash--but is easy to distract to get things like that from him. Grumbles like an old man when he knows he's in trouble.. grumbles like an old man when you need him to wake up from a ... (Read More)nap. Barks a lot. He does have anxiety and the prescribed anxiety medication had an adverse effect and made it worse. Thunder Coat made him more anxious.. would benefit from living in the country with minimal road traffic. Goes nuts at UPS, FedEx... he's extremely loyal. He needs more than we can provide for him right now. We rescued him approximately 7 years ago and will not take him to a shelter. Looking for a loving home for him. (Less)
