Rescue Me ID: 15-08-24-00272Chester (male)

Redbone Coonhound Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Very Submissive
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Chester is super smart and very athletic. His breed is a best guess, but he super slender and silky soft short hair. He loves sitting on your lap, and running and jumping outdoors. He is such a good jumper that he is capable of jumping 6 ft fences, and this has been downfall to getting adopted. He has been with the shelter since it opened in April and we would love to get him out of there. He is shy and timid in the kennel, so people don't even give him chance when they come to look. He is very timid towards strange men, but once he is out around them, he warms up. He isn't as big as he looks in picture and could easily be your snuggle ... (Read More)buddy too. Someone willing to offer this jumper some love, training and an outlet for jumping skills would be ideal. he has so much love to offer. Non aggressive! We can arrange transport anywhere to an approved home. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 14-01-07-00450Highway Homer (male)

Redbone Coonhound Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Low Energy, Submissive
Health: Needs to be Neutered

Homer was found running down a local highway. He was thin & on a mission, probably trying to go back to the home where he was no longer wanted. Their loss. Homer (must be his real name, because he responds when he is called that) is very mellow for his apparent age. He's very smart for a hound type, & very affectionate, due most likely to Doxie genes. He is quite vocal, as hounds usually are. Please understand Homer is a Doxie MIX, not a full blood/registered. He weighs about 35 lbs. His legs are a little longer than a full blood Doxie Please see his attached video for size comparison to a 110 lb. Labrador Retriever. He'd make an excellent ... (Read More)companion for children or a retired couple. He's crated trained, responds well to treats & kindness, & is ok on a leash. He's been wormed, is on HW preventative, has current rabies vaccination & is micro-chipped. He will be neutered before being released for adoption. Email for application. Adopted within 75 mi. only. HOMER WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE AFTER ADOPTION UNTIL HE IS NEUTERED. (Less)
