Rescue Me ID: 16-06-27-00770Reba (female)
Reba is the sweetest dog. She loves to give kisses and cuddle. She is very active and loves to run around. Since we do not have a proper size yard for a hound she jumps our fence and runs around the neighborhood. We believe she would make a good hunting dog but we have not trained her. She loves attention and to play with toys. She can be kind of skittish at times. Along with her we are having to find a new home for her mother Dixie. We are trying to move and can not take them with us. We would love for them to go to the same place.

Rescue Me ID: 16-06-27-00758Dixie (female)
Dixie is a sweet girl. She has been great with our other dogs her size and three year old. She is a hunting dog but not trained. So she is not that great with cats or small dogs. She is very active and loves to run. Unfortunately we do not have the proper space for her to run. She jumps our fence and runs the neighborhood. But if she had a nice size of land I believe she will be great. We are trying to move right now and this is one of the big reasons for finding her a new home. We love her and just want what is best for her. We also have one of her puppies that she had 5 years ago named Reba that is also on this page. It would be nice to keep them together. (Less)

Animal ID: BD0002LAAngel (female)
Adoption fee is to cover shots & spade. Angel has a very calm, restful, gentle personality. She gets along with everyone & would be a perfect dog to take to a dog park, she loves to play. Angel would be a perfect dog for a moderately active family with children (of all ages) or a more reserved family life. She is such a sweet, 'love-bug'. She's housebroken, crate/kennel trained, very 'polite', well-behaved, well-balanced. Angel is one of those 'one-in-a-million' really, REALLY good dogs! You will absolutely fall in love with her! Angel would require a safe backyard enclosure to prevent her from climbing/jumping out. I'm sure this comes from her previous abandonments. If you have the usual 3-4ft fence, we have low cost suggestions to make it safe for her. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 15-11-14-00283Eddie (male)
Eddie is a healthy, active 3-year-old Red Bone Hound that my son rescued as a puppy when he found him wandering in a cemetery. Our vet believes him to be purebred but, of course, can't be sure. He has a had a happy life until recently when my son changed jobs and moved into a very restricted space, resulting in two unhappy dogs that can no longer co-exist. Eddie needs loving attention and space to run. He has spent his life mainly among adults and has had limited contact with children. He has shown no indications of problems with children.

Rescue Me ID: 14-01-07-00450Highway Homer (male)
Homer was found running down a local highway. He was thin & on a mission, probably trying to go back to the home where he was no longer wanted. Their loss. Homer (must be his real name, because he responds when he is called that) is very mellow for his apparent age. He's very smart for a hound type, & very affectionate, due most likely to Doxie genes. He is quite vocal, as hounds usually are. Please understand Homer is a Doxie MIX, not a full blood/registered. He weighs about 35 lbs. His legs are a little longer than a full blood Doxie. Please see his attached video for size comparison to a 110 lb. Labrador Retriever. He'd make an excellent companion for children or a retired couple. He's crated trained, responds well to treats & kindness, & is ok on a leash. He's been wormed, is on HW preventative, has current 3 yr. rabies vaccination & is micro-chipped. Email for application. Adopted within 75 mi. only. (Less)
