|Rescue Me ID: 15-08-29-00414Holly (female)|
If you are interested in any of the FFOS pups, the first step is to fill out an application, completely at http://ffosk9rescue.org/adoption-application or if you are working with our wonderful partner Vermont Dog Rescue, fill out an application at www.vermontdogrescue.com VDR is our partner rescue and helps place many into loving homes. Holly is an 8-10 month old, 38 pound Coonhound/Shepherd mix. She's a sweet girl. She does well with kids, adults, and the other dogs in her foster home. We not sure about her reaction to cats. She is crate trained, loves to ride in a car and will walk on a leash. She is heart worm negative and has been brought up to date on vaccinations, as well as flea and heart worm preventatives. She is scheduled to be spayed 9/15, so will be available at that time. Her adoption fee is $200. We are an all volunteer, 501(c)(3) group, so all funds go right back into the care of these and future wonderful pups. OUT OF STATE adoptions are possible. If you are working with Vermont Dog Rescue, the additional fee is $200 to cover transportation costs and the health certificate, which is required to cross state lines. Transport to other areas is dependent on location, fees and availability of independent transport services. You are always welcome to pick up your new family member. We are a home based, not for profit organization in Northeast Alabama that helps place forgotten and unwanted pets in forever homes. We are an all volunteer, 501(c)3 organization. We rescue pets from high kill shelters, prior to being euthanized, as well as strays, and unwanted pets. We do not adopt to 'outside only' homes. Nor do we adopt to anyone who wishes to crop, dock or do any other alterations, except spaying and neutering their pets. We highly recommend positive training methods once pets are placed in forever homes. All pets are completely vetted, up to date on all vaccines and given rabies certificates. ALL PUPPIES NOT SPAYED OR NEUTERED PRIOR TO ADOPTION WILL REQUIRE A SPAY NEUTER CONTRACT SIGNED AND DATED BY ADOPTERS (Less)

SHOULD YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS REGARDING THIS ANIMAL, PLEASE CONTACT 256-883-3783 with the animal identification number provided. Huntsville Animal Services 4950 Triana Blvd Huntsville, AL 35805 PLEASE READ THE IMPORTANT INFO BELOW (your question may be answered here) This page is largely volunteer operated. We use our own time to visit the shelter, take pictures and post them to this page. With that said, the above information may be the only information we have available for this animal as we do not like to get in the way of the shelter staff to ask a lot of questions on every single animal. Please know that a high percentage of animals in the shelter are brought in as strays. It is impossible to know anything about a stray animal and many times we can only make our best educated guess on breeds, age, etc. Every dog you see posted here has passed a general temperament test as performed by shelter staff and it is considered to be non-aggressive toward adults. As far as child or cat aggression, that is not a standard test that can be performed on every animal. If you are concerned about either aggression, it is suggested that you visit the shelter in person and ask a shelter attendant for assistance. We do allow you to bring pets in to see if they get along before adopting, and if you elect to do so, make sure your pet(s) are COMPLETELY up to date on vaccinations, especially bordatella (kennel cough). ADOPTION FEES Cats seven months and older are currently $35 as a special Spring and Summer promotion that includes spay or neuter surgery, rabies vaccination, microchip, city license tag if applicable, feline AIDS/LEUKEMIA test, and may also include other basic vaccinations when applicable. Kittens six months and younger are $50. Dogs are $35 for adults, $50 for puppies. This includes spay or neuter surgery, rabies vaccination, microchip, city license tag if applicable, canine heart worm test over six months of age, and may also include other basic vaccinations when applicable. LICENSE FEES $35 - Lifetime license not included in the adoption fee PER CITY ORDINANCE, DOMESTIC ANIMALS ARE REQUIRED TO WEAR A CITY LICENSE TAG WHILE RESIDING IN THE CITY LIMITS OF HUNTSVILLE. It is recommended and the responsibility of the adopter to put their new pet on their choice of heart worm and flea/tick prevention within 30 days of adoption in order to ensure a happy and healthy pet. SHOULD YOU HAVE ANY FURTHER QUESTIONS OR CONCERNS ABOUT THIS ANIMAL, PLEASE CALL OR VISIT THE SHELTER. (Less)

Willie is a big hound baby, he truly is. He loves attention, and will be glad to see you forever. Want to always have a happy face and wagging tail to greet you after coming home from a hard day's work? Willie is the guy for you. Willie will be neutered before going home with his new family. Willie is available for adoption from Second Chance Shelter in Boaz, AL for a $40 adoption fee.
